About

Why we're building PartPrice

Small machine shops quote the way they did twenty years ago: open the model, size it up, price it in a spreadsheet, add a margin by feel, answer in a day or three. The tools that changed this - instant-quote marketplaces and manufacturing-as-a-service platforms - changed it for the buyer, not for the shop. Shops got faster competitors, not faster quotes.

PartPrice is quoting software for small CNC machine shops - geometry-based, built for the shop itself, not for a marketplace. Upload a STEP file, get a breakdown you can defend, send the quote. No commission, no black box.

Who's behind it

Roman Lygin

PartPrice is made by CADEXSOFT - the company behind CAD Exchanger, CAD data conversion used by engineers and software vendors worldwide, and Manufacturing Toolkit (MTK), the feature-recognition, DFM and manufacturing-analysis engine that online-quoting platforms build on - and led by its founder, Roman Lygin.

Shops kept asking us for a finished tool rather than an SDK. PartPrice is that tool.

The engine

PartPrice runs on our own geometry engine - the same feature recognition, manufacturability analysis and measurement technology behind MTK. Owning the engine, instead of licensing a kernel and paying royalties for it, is what lets us serve a ten-person shop at a price it can justify.

What we believe

Neutral
We're a tool for manufacturers. We don't take orders, we don't broker, and we don't compete with you.
Transparent
Every number has a line behind it, every line has a formula, and the formulas leave with you in the Excel file.
Honest about limits
A starting estimate you can defend - not an oracle. CNC milling today; turning and sheet metal next. We'll tell you what's not there yet.
